THE FIRST GLOBAL DIGITAL ECONOMY ALLIANCE SUMMIT (D50) AND THE GRAND CEREMONY OF THE 2019 FORBES DIGITAL 100 LIST HELD IN SHIJIAZHUANG

On October 11th , China International Digital Economy Expo opened in Shijiazhuang. D50 and the 2019 Grand Ceremony of 2019 Forbes Digital 100 list was successfully held. It was hosted by the Organizing Committee of China International Digital Economy Expo and organized by CECC and CCG.

With the theme of "Building a Community of Shared Future for the Global Digital Economy", the summit has invited many international authoritative experts, well-known entrepreneurs, think tank experts, scholars and other domestic and foreign guests to participate in the summit. They discussed new issues of international cooperation in digital economy, development opportunities and challenges, and released the Three-Year Action Plan for the Future Development of Global Digital Economic Alliance (D50). It also released the 2019 Forbes Digital 100 list, which was hosted by Forbes China and co-sponsored by CE Magazine. It has built a high-end platform for international government, industry and academia to discuss global governance. There were more than 1500 people from all walks of life attending the summit.

Kolodko, former first Deputy Prime Minister of Poland; Qu Weizhi, former Executive Deputy director of Information Work Leading Group of the State Council, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Information Industry, former president of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce; Edward Prescott, Nobel Prize winner in Economics; Ni Guangnan, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Xia Yanjun, Vice Governor of Hebei Provincial People's Government; Wang Ning, president of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, Li Siwei, CEO of Forbes China; Simon Mead, CEO of Cambridge Wireless; Simon Spier, vice president of Telecom and Electronics Association of British Information Technology; Noah Fraser, managing director of China region of Canada China Trade Council; Zhang Weizhi, Professor of Zhejiang University, digital economy expert and other scholars participate in the speech dialogue. The summit was presided over by Peng Lihui, Secretary-General of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, and Harvey Dzodin, former legal adviser to President Carter.

Hebei provincial government aimed at the main direction and issued a series of policies and measures. The digital economy has become an important engine of the economic development of the whole province. At present, Hebei is in a window period with strategic opportunities. It is hoped that participating enterprises can make full use of this platform to have free talks, conduct in-depth discussions, and thereby to support and invest in Hebei as always. The holding of the "Global Digital Economy Alliance Summit" is an important measure to implement global development consensus and promote mutual benefit and win-win results. Only by forming development joint forces and adhering to openness and mutual assistance, can new economic development have strong support. At the same time, she believes that we should strengthen the trust mechanism and form a consensus to develop the digital economy, which is the cornerstone of development. Ni Guangnan introduced the new trend of open-source chips and suggested that countries should adopt the instruction set with a high degree of freedom and simplicity when designing chips. Three-year action plan released to guide high quality development.

To promote the integrated development of digital economy and the real economy, and promote the international cooperation in the development and governance of the digital economy, Wang Ning, President of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, officially released the Three-Year Action Plan for the Future Development of Global Digital Economic Alliance (D50) (2020-2022) at the summit on behalf of the global digital economy alliance. According to Peng Lihui, Secretary-General of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, The Global Digital Economy Alliance (D50) was jointly initiated by the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce and Center for China and Globalization at the 2018 International Digital Economy Expo, together with relevant enterprises and institutions of the digital economy industry in nearly 50 countries or regions. The purpose of the alliance is to build a consensus platform for dialogue, communication, cooperation, and development among global digital economies, based on the Charter of the United Nations and recognized international norms and principles and in the spirit of fairness, openness, consultation, co-construction, and sharing. At the first Paris Peace Forum, the establishment of international rules for the digital economy and the establishment of a multilateral, democratic and transparent global digital economy governance system (D50) initiated by the Global Digital Economy Alliance was selected as one of the global governance programs of the Paris Peace Forum.

Forbes top 100 digital economy list released, setting up a global model

At the meeting, Wang Ning, President of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce; Edward Prescott, Nobel Prize winner and famous economist, Peng Lihui, General Secretary of Global Digital Economy Alliance and Russell Flannery, chief editor of Forbes China, participated in the launching ceremony of the 2019 Forbes Digital 100 list. Russell Flannery released and interpreted the list. The list evaluates enterprises in the global digital economy from multiple perspectives, showing the development potential of the digital economy in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and other fields. It also awards medals to the enterprises listed in the Greater China region of the 2019 Forbes Digital 100 list. Among them, China ranks second in the list. Among the 14 Chinese enterprises on the list, mobile phone service provider China Mobile Co., Ltd. ranked eighth, which is the highest one. Internet giants such as Alibaba Group and Tencent holdings ranked 10th and 14th respectively.
