As the report learnt from the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center and the Anhui Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips, China’s third-generation independent superconducting quantum computer, "Benyuan Wukong," was launched and operated by Benyuan Quantum Computing Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd. at 9:00 am on January 6th.
The quantum computer is equipped with a 72 bit autonomous superconducting quantum chip called "Wukong Chip", which is currently an advanced programmable and deliverable superconducting quantum computer. Researchers have introduced that superconducting quantum computers are quantum computers based on superconducting circuit quantum chips. Internationally, both IBM and Google Quantum Computers adopt the superconducting technology route.
Dr. Kong Weicheng, Deputy Director of Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center, introduced that "Benyuan Wukong" has matched the third-generation quantum computing measurement and control system "Benyuan Tianji", implementing batch automated testing of quantum chips and improving the overall operational efficiency of quantum computers.
Dr. Jia Zhilong, Deputy Director of the Anhui Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips, introduced that "Benyuan Wukong" carries a 72 bit superconducting quantum chip called "Wukong Chip", with a total of 198 qubits, including 72 working qubits and 126 coupler qubits.
The superconducting quantum computer released this time is named "Wukong", derived from the mythological figure Sun Wukong in traditional Chinese culture, symbolizing "72 changes of Sun Wukong.
