In 2022, with the implementation of a series of development plans, the digital economy will move towards a new stage of high-quality development of standardization and inclusiveness while developing at a high speed.

The release of policy dividends constantly

With increasingly clear objectives and sound measures, the localities will continue to promote the rapid development of digital economy.

    Expansion of digital industrialization market

With the accelerated implementation of digital technology applications such as big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, the market scale of digital industry continues to expand and the industrial maturity has increased significantly. It is predicted that in 2022, the scale of China's data element market will reach 90.4 billion Chinese yuan and the scale of cloud computing market will reach 295.15 billion Chinese yuan. In 2023, the scale of big data industry will reach 1152.25 billion Chinese yuan and the scale of artificial intelligence industry will reach 312.59 billion Chinese yuan.

At the same time, the demand for live broadcast and viewing of events generated by the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will promote the maturity and industrial development of 5G + 4K / 8K Ultra HD video, 5G + Ar / VR and other related applications. The popularity of new concepts such as metaverse will also promote the application of relevant digital technologies and give birth to new models and new formats. The continuous deepening of these digital applications will accelerate the development of digital industrialization to a new height and inject new momentum into the development of digital economy.

Deep expansion and acceleration of industrial digitization

2022 is the key year for the large-scale development of 5G applications. According to the deployment of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, "ten hundred thousand projects" for 5G industry application will be implemented. 10 vertical industries will be selected, 100 benchmark demonstrations will be made for each industry, an upgraded version of "5G + industrial Internet" will be created, and the construction of 5G fully connected factories will be promoted.

With the implementation of the action plan for digital transformation of manufacturing industry and the industrial Internet innovation and development project, collaborative R & D and design, remote equipment control, machine vision self-inspection and other scenarios will accelerate the implementation and promotion, and further help reduce costs, improve quality and increase efficiency.

The digital economy has entered a new stage of standardization and inclusiveness

At present, standardized development has become an urgent requirement for the high-quality development of digital economy. At the beginning of the new year, policies regulating the development of digital economy were intensively introduced. The nine departments jointly issued several opinions on promoting the standardized, healthy and sustainable development of the platform economy. In 2022, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will improve the whole life cycle credit management of market players and carry out in-depth actions to improve the perception of information and communication services. All localities have successively issued laws and regulations to promote the development of digital economy, raising digital governance to the height of law. With the implementation of these policies and regulations, the formation of a new digital governance pattern of coordinated governance of laws, policies and technologies will be accelerated.

The Development Plan of Digital Economy in the 14th Five-Year Plan Period puts forward that digital service is an important way to meet the needs of people's better life. With the promotion of digital village construction, public services such as medical treatment, education and employment will be better extended to rural areas. With the development of the construction of a new smart city, digital applications such as smart buildings and smart parking lots will be gradually implemented, and the quality of people's life and consumption will continue to upgrade. The accelerated promotion of "Internet + government" will enable more people to enjoy standardized, intelligent and convenient services.

In 2022, standing in the historic period of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, the information and communications industry will, with the in-depth integration of digital technology and the real economy as the main line, jointly promote digital industrialization and industrial digitization, constantly make our digital economy stronger, better and bigger, and enable more people to enjoy intelligent, shared, convenient and efficient digital dividends.
