“Industry is the foundation of our country”. “Manufacturing is the lifeblood of the national economy”. The 2021 central economic work conference proposed to enhance the core competitiveness of the manufacturing industry, accelerate the digital transformation and promote the upgrading of traditional industries. The National Conference on industry and informatization also pointed out that we should push forward the digital transformation of manufacturing industry to expand in depth and enhance the new advantages and new momentum of industrial development in 2022. Our country shall implement the action plan for digital transformation of manufacturing industry, improve the multi-level industrial Internet platform system, break through several intelligent components and equipment, and expand the application scenarios of industrial big data.
Digital transformation is the general direction of economic development and an important path for the industry to move towards medium and high-end. In recent years, China's digital economy has accelerated development, showing strong development vitality and great development potential. So far, China has built 1.396 million 5G base stations, 165 secondary nodes for industrial Internet identification and analysis, and cultivated more than 150 large industrial Internet platforms. The security guarantee capability has been continuously improved. "5G + industrial Internet" has taken the lead in ten key industries such as mining, steel and electric power, forming 20 typical application scenarios such as remote equipment control, machine vision quality inspection and production energy efficiency control. The proportion of enterprises carrying out networked collaboration and service-oriented manufacturing reached 38.8% and 29.6% respectively, and the numerical control rate of key processes and the popularity of digital R & D and design tools in industrial enterprises above designated size reached 55% and 74.4% respectively. Through the application of new technology, the enterprise has realized product upgrading, cost reduction and mode innovation, and the production and operation efficiency has been greatly improved. Manufacturing industry is the foundation of a country, the foundation of a power and the lifeblood of the national economy. Promoting the digital transformation of manufacturing industry to expand in depth and enhance the new advantages and new driving forces of industrial development is the only way to develop traditional manufacturing industry and speed up the construction of manufacturing power.
We shall speed up the digital transformation and expand the application of "5G + industrial Internet" to promote the digital transformation of manufacturing industry. Traditional industries have a large base and a high proportion in the manufacturing industry, which is not only the focus of digital transformation, but also the difficulty of digital transformation. Therefore, in the process of digital transformation, we shall use the new technology and application of the Internet to carry out all-round and chain transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, so as to further highlight the role of digital empowerment, assignment and intelligence. The 14th five-year plan proposes to systematically lay out new infrastructure and speed up the construction of 5G, industrial Internet and data center. Industrial Internet is an important cornerstone of the fourth industrial revolution. 5G is a new generation of mobile communication infrastructure to realize the comprehensive interconnection of people, machines and things. Both of them are the key driving forces to realize the digital transformation of economy and society. Since the launch and implementation of China's industrial Internet innovation and development strategy and more than two years of 5G commercial use, the exploration pace of the integrated development of "5G + industrial Internet" has been accelerating. Infrastructure has been set up from point to area, and basic telecommunications enterprises and industrial enterprises are deeply connected. 5G network deployment mode suitable for industrial production needs has been gradually explored and formed. At present, "5G + industrial Internet" has taken the lead in the development of aviation, machinery, steel, mining, port, energy, medical and other industries. Typical application scenarios have emerged, such as machine vision detection, accurate remote control, on-site auxiliary assembly, intelligent tally logistics, unmanned inspection and security, and the scope of application continues to extend from the periphery of production to the core link. The development environment has been gradually improved. In the next step, we shall expand the application of "5G + industrial Internet", steadily and orderly carry out the construction of 5G and gigabit optical networks, accelerate the large-scale construction of 5G industry virtual private networks, and lay a solid network infrastructure for digital transformation. We shall promote the large-scale development of 5G applications, focus on key industries such as manufacturing, mining, electric power, port and medical treatment, deeply explore the typical application scenarios of "5G + industrial Internet" production line level and workshop level, and create a number of benchmark 5G fully connected factories. Expanding the application of "5G + industrial Internet" and helping the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry are of great significance to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern of dual circulation.
We shall vigorously carry out pilot demonstration of big data application and strive to activate the potential of data to promote the digital transformation of manufacturing industry. At present, data has become an important factor of production. The core of manufacturing digitization is "data digitization". Only digitized data has the real application value and possibility. As a strategic emerging industry focusing on data generation, collection, storage, processing, analysis and service, big data industry is the key support to activate the potential of data elements and an important engine to accelerate the quality, efficiency and power changes of economic and social development. The focus of digital transformation in 2022 should be to activate data potential, carry out pilot demonstration of big data application, support upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to open data, build a safe and reliable industrial data space, and expand big data application scenarios. At the same time, we shall speed up the development of basic common standards such as industrial data interaction, preliminarily build a national industrial Internet big data center, support all localities to explore and cultivate the data element market, and improve the level of data management, development and utilization.
We shall deeply implement the digital transformation of manufacturing industry and improve application ability of enterprises' digital technology to promote digital transformation of manufacturing industry. At present, the Internet, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and other technologies are accelerating innovation and increasingly integrated into the whole process of economic and social development in all fields. Enterprises have always been the main body of implementing the digital transformation of manufacturing industry. In the context of increasingly fierce industry competition, although many manufacturing and modeling enterprises have begun to explore digital transformation in order to reduce costs and increase efficiency, and have achieved certain results, the digital transformation of most enterprises is still in the primary stage. Many manufacturing enterprises still faces challenges on the digital transformation, including insufficient understanding of digitization, lack of technology and human resources, large investment and uncertainty. Therefore, based on the digital transformation of manufacturing industry, we shall promote intelligent manufacturing engineering and digital empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises, carry out all-round and whole chain transformation of manufacturing industry in 2022, and push forward the digital, networked and intelligent development of manufacturing industry.
Manufacturing industry is the foundation for building a country and the basis for making China powerful as well as the economic lifeline of a country. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the development of manufacturing industry. It is one of the major tasks in 2022 to develop manufacturing industry, promote the in-depth integration with digital technology, give impetus to the digital transformation of manufacturing industry and enable the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.
